The second major of the 2024 golf season is upon us, and plenty of players are looking to set a tone for the rest of the campaign. The PGA Championship returns to town for the first time in a decade for the May beauty around Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville. With everyone wondering where and how to watch the PGA Championship, it's only fair to consider who has the best chance. Take home the Wanamaker trophy.

No one has more pressure on their shoulders than Scotty Scheffler, who is trying to become the first golfer since 2015 to win the first two major championships of the year. Scheffler, the 2024 Masters champion, has not only won consecutive PGA Tour starts, but has won four of the last five events he has played. Given his talent and how locked into the course he was before taking a month off, it's no wonder he's the clear favorite in the field. Scheffler's play gave the talk of a grand slam. The PGA will also mark the second leg of his individual Slam journey — even if he doesn't complete it this year — and his major championship mantle includes two green jackets in the last three years.

Behind Scheffler in the odds group are Brooks Koepka and Rory McIlroy, both of whom have won their last two starts. Koepka has been playing well overseas, and when he finished T45 at the Masters last month, he's also the reigning PGA champion looking for a second repeat. He has a chance to lift the Wanamaker for the fourth time in seven years. McIlroy has gone without a major since the PGA last played at Valhalla a decade ago, but he is clearly comfortable on this course and won the Wells Fargo Championship, where he dominated another familiar venue at Quail Hollow.

While attending the PGA Championship is a ton of fun, watching golf at the game's grandest stages is an incredible treat every year. Here at CBS Sports we're excited to bring you live leaderboard coverage of the PGA Championship all week long. Don't miss out when your favorite golfers take the course with a full slate PGA Championship tee times and round 1 pairings

CBS Sports Golf anchor Jim Nantz will call the action for the 34th consecutive year while providing coverage from the Super Tower alongside lead analyst Trevor Immelman. Amanda Renner reports and conducts interviews with Ian Baker-Finch, Frank Nobillo, Dottie Pepper, Colt Nast and Mark Immelman on Valhalla for CBS Sports.

The 106th PGA Championship will be the 34th consecutive (and 41st overall) broadcast by CBS Sports, which will provide multi-platform coverage throughout the week. In partnership with the PGA of America, CBS Sports will use 125 cameras and nearly 150 microphones to capture all the sights and sounds of the overall production effort. Additional technology enhancements include fly cameras, bunker cameras, state-of-the-art drone coverage, panoramic Falcon 360 cameras, toptracer and more.
